Each year Aquatic Capital honors a number of Long Beach athletes, coaches, organizations, and aquatic minded citizens for outstanding accomplishments in the prior year. 

Athlete of the Year: Recognizing a standout athlete whose dedication, skill and sportsmanship have inspired others. 

Masters' Athlete of the Year: Recognizing a standout masters' athlete whose dedication, skill and sportsmanship have inspired others. 

 

Coach of the Year: Honoring a coach whose leadership and guidance have empowered athletes to reach their full potential both on and off the field.

 

Organization of the Year: Highlighting an organization that has made a significant impact through its programs, initiatives and community involvement.

 

High School Achievement Award: Commending a high school student who has demonstrated exceptional academic excellence , leadership or service 

 

Outstanding Achievement Award: Celebrating an individual who has achieved remarkable success in their field or made significant contributions to society.

 

Dick Miller Waterman of the Year Award: Recognizing an individual who has shown outstanding dedication and commitment to the City of Long Beach and the environment.

 

Tom Shadden Citizen of the Year Award: Honoring an exemplary Citizen whose selfless actions and community involvement have made a positive difference in the lives of others.
